Arrived Berlin

No Pictures please we looked bedraggled. Seattle to Paris late leaving Seattle so we missed our Paris to Berlin connection finally in Berlin just a location update more interesting posts to follow. At least I hope so. Out for now and try to stay awake.

A bit of a taste of Berlin in our wanderings our first day. We first stopped by this very nice coffee shop. The weather here is warm for this time of year, and a bit muggy. Most restaurants have outdoor seating, so it makes for a very vital social scene. My first general impression of the city’s architecture is how crisp are the lines of the structures. Actually a little bit uniform in a modernistic style, if you will.. This look was explained to me by a local, that much of the city’s structures were destroyed in World War two. All the same, there are a wealth of historical structures like this gate below. I did not get the name yet but impressive, just part of thee city, as folks go about their day. More to come for today. We want to take a boat ride on the Spree River, which meanders throughout the city and tonight we go to an Opera. Getting around the city is very convenient. The subway system is well established, like most European cities, Seattle where are you! I will be your roving reporter, and documentarian.
